A Hope-Filled Path

Mar 6, 2024 | Encouragement, Hope

“Show me your ways, LORD,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.”
Psalm 25:4-5

Sorry I was MIA for two days. The past few days have been exceptionally busy with having family over. Then two grandchildren came for a sleepover. I couldn’t squeeze in the time to write the daily blog. We are back at it again today. And I am glad you are here.

If you are anything like me, you search for ways God is instructing you to go.

On my Birthday, on March 3rd, I searched for “a Word” of encouragement from the LORD.

Perhaps you seek God in this way as well? It is not wrong to seek God to speak to you personally. He would not be our “personal Savior” if He didn’t speak to us this way.

Perhaps you do this same thing then?

Psalm 25:4-5, is a great Scripture to save to read again and again.

God is always showing us “His ways” and teaching us His paths as we make it our goal to seek Him. We could learn forever under His teaching in His Word.

On my birthday on March 3rd, our children gave me a leather Bible. They know how valuable God’s Word is to me. And I had mentioned to our daughter about the “Well-Watered Co.” Resource available online. This ESV Study Bible Aurora. I have no excuse to not write this blog. And my research should be better.

The next words in Psalm 25 state, “guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God, my Savior.” I am using the American spelling of Savior today. Next time it might be what we use in Canada, the British spelling of Saviour. Bear with me, I know we should have one standard English language, but it is not so.

We can all receive God’s truths into our spirit regardless of the spelling, however, and for that I am thankful.

For me, those words “guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God, my Savior” wILL never grow old. They are timeless truths, ageless precepts, words to live by, and I do. At least as well as I am able, by God’s grace alone.

What about you? Do you crave guidance, to be taught by the great God of the universe? Do you long for Him to speak to you personally, to call you by name?

If you are reading this and thinking the Bible is a dry, dusty book, I am here to challenge you. God’s Word, the Bible, is LIVING AND ACTIVE AND TWO-EDGED SWORD. If you don’t grasp that, why not ask God to teach you what that means? What have you to lose from this challenge? Your life? Your soul? Hope for living?

To close for today, Wednesday March 6th, let me end with these words… “my hope is in you all day long.”

And it is.

And always will be.

God helping me to stay the course.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him,
so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13.

With those words, I will forge ahead into another year.

What about you?
