God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ.
This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.
Ephesians 1:5 NLT.
During the month of June, I am writing about God’s love.
The Bible Verse I chose for today does not have the word love in it, but it is overflowing with God’s love.
God brought us into His own family through salvation in Jesus Christ.
Once you are a Christian, you belong to God’s family.
When God adopts you, it is His choice, no accident. He loves, cherishes and takes care of you from that day forward and forevermore.
God has chosen you to have a personal relationship with Him. You are His. You belong to Him.
As God’s child, His love sings over you and He delights in you.
God showers His blessings, His favour, and His kindness for you. This does not mean life will be problem free. It means that God is with you every step of the way, upholding you in every situation.
His love is personal and the more you seek Him, the more you find Him and His love for you.
If you believe in God the Father, through Jesus Christ, you have a relationship with Him. Our relationships are as good as we work at making them.
As you spend time with God, communicate with God, trust God, and delight in God, He reciprocates.
We also need to trust God will come through for us. This is where many people lose their way. We need to see with eyes of faith God will indeed be faithful to us. God is the perfect Father, after all.
Many individuals have earthly fathers who have let them down, or been poor examples, therefore they believe God is the same. But He is not. He will come through for you as you seek and obey His Word.
God’s love is the most reliable, trustworthy, steady force on this planet.
You can bank on His love.
You can trust His love.
Seek Him with all of your heart, soul and mind and you will indeed find Him. His love will become the fierce passion of your heart. His love will comfort you, surround you, abide in you, and be enough for you.
Through my life God has been all this and more and I delight in Him.
My heart sings of His love and I have to write about His love because it consumes me so much I feel a force within to share it.
What about you? How does this play out in your life?
If you don’t know God as your good, good, Father, your perfect Father, then I invite you to ask Him into your heart and life, and then believe it is so. Ask Him to take over in your life and help you live with His love as your driving force. Ask God to forgive you of your sins and help you live for Him.
Watch and see what He will do.
And then stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.
One last thing… take a minute today to think about how the God of the entire universe, loves you personally and chose you to be His child.
In Christ’s amazing love, divine,
Liz.
