And this is my prayer: that your love may
abound more and more in knowledge
and depth of insight, so that you may
be able to discern what is best and
may be pure and blameless for the
day of Christ.
Philippians 1:9-10
The apostle Paul writes these words to encourage believers to grow in love. As we gain a deeper understanding of God’s love for us, we want to share that love with others.
It would be wise for those who don’t grasp the depth of God’s love for them to ask God for a revelation of His love.
As we get glimpses and enlightenment of God’s love for us, we grow in stability, peace, and confidence.
God’s love can never be taken from us or shaken. It is a solid foundation that won’t topple.
Is your life built on the redeeming love of Jesus Christ?
Why not God to help you understand His love more and more?
As His love surrounds you, soaks in you, and teaches you to love others better, your life will improve.
Christ’s love in us compels us to love others deeply from the heart.
As we gain understanding in the depth and grasp with insight, God’s love for us then our love abounds more and more.
We learn to discern what is best, pure, and right and wrong, until the LORD returns.
I prefer to use the “New International Version” of the Bible.
My husband reads the “New King James Version” of the Bible.
Our Church uses the “English Standard Version” of the Bible.
All these are very accurate versions, especially NKJV and ESV.
The NIV is very solid as well.
Sometimes I like to use the easier language of “The Message” Bible, but let me warn you it is not nearly as accurate as those Bible Versions listed above. However, it can be utilized after studying these more accurate Bible Versions to gain further clarity from the easier language.
To conclude, for today I will use The Message to reiterate the Bible Verses listed at the top of my blog.
My prayer for you is that you will overflow more and more with love for others, and at the same time
keep on growing in spiritual knowledge and insight, for I want you always to see clearly the difference
between right and wrong, and to be inwardly clean, no one being able to criticize you from now until our
Lord returns.
