Confidence in Our Redeemer

“For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And that He shall stand at last on the earth.”
Job 19:25

This weekend has been a whirlwind of activities since I last wrote the Blog. Perhaps that is the same for you?

On Thursday last week some family members went to the Butterfly Pavillion in Niagara Falls. What an exceptional trip to take the little ones on! Beautiful warmth, sunshine and butterflies along with grandchildren. What a perfect day.

On Good Friday we ventured over to my brother and his wife’s home three hours west of ours. We worshipped and meditated on the true meaning behind good Friday at their Church. We went to their home and celebrated both of their Birthdays which fall within a month of each other. It was a meaningful day, a long day as we arrived home 15 hours after we left in the morning, but it was worth it!

On Saturday I spent the day prepping for Easter with our own children and their families. My husband and I did this together.

On Easter Sunday, we went to church and worshipped and praised our LORD Jesus, who gave His life for us on the cross and rose from the grave. He defeated death and to life He has brought us as we believe in Him! What a cause to celebrate! Oh, the joy of the heart! What depth of gratitude and praise we experienced as we reflected on the true meaning of this!

After church our family gathered to celebrate Easter with a lovely dinner to which everyone contributed and an Easter egg hunt which was not the focal point.

In amongst these joyful events some “worldly happenings” caught my attention but only for a few moments.

You see, the USA celebrated “transgender day of visibility” on Easter Sunday. Such an abomination against what Christ has done for us on the cross. And wouldn’t you know it Canada followed suit with the OPP posting its support of this blasphemy on their Instagram (and maybe FB) Pages? They followed, joined the bandwagon of foolishness and corruption!

So, as some of the world celebrates foolishness, Christians hold fast to their beliefs.

Another happening today is the Carbon Tax hike. Twenty-three percent increase on products such as gas, groceries and such. Some claim the WEF is trying to collapse the economy for the “new world order.” My country, Canada, is supposedly one of the foolish leaders in this hysteria.

As I reflect upon the words of Job 19:25, “For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth” I know it signifies God as our only hope amidst trials and immense suffering.

Believers have peace and confidence as the world gets thrown into confusion and chaos as sheep without a Shepherd.

This Easter Monday, just after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I refuse to dwell on the negative!

Regardless of what happens, we might all have to suffer if this foolishness prevails… we can declare with confidence, “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth!”

Praise God for the truth of all truths. This is all that matters.

“He is not here. He has risen…” (Matthew 28:6)
“For I know that my Redeemer lives!” (Job 19:25a)
