Living a New Life

Apr 19, 2023 | Growing in God's Grace

“Therefore,. we have been buried with Him through baptism into death,
so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so
we too might walk in newness of life.”
Romans 6:4.

When we are baptised it symbolizes the washing away of sin. There is the necessity of dying to sin.

Any ungodly pursuits or habits need to be “put off” or changed and a new walk or journey begins as we follow Jesus.

We die to sin and have been raised with Christ to a new way of living!

Just as Christ was raised from death by God’s amazing power, we now live a new life by God’s amazing power through the Holy Spirit!

As believers, we have a new birth, into a new life, and a new way of living.

We now walk a journey filled with life and light!

Our earthly journey is now filled to the brim and overflowing with God’s grace!

This new birth is sometimes called the path of righteousness.

The only way we can follow this path is by God’s grace alone.

As we grow in our faith journey, we live our lives for Jesus and find joy in serving Him.

Our acts of service will look different, since each of us has been designed uniquely.

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, believers have been raised to new life, a path full of light and grace.

This does not mean we live a perfect life, we aim to live right with Christ’s power in us.

We will fail, but we will repent and ask for forgiveness and start anew.

Our great God is the captain of our lives, and Christ is the emblem of our redemption.

Living this new life is the greatest joy a soul will ever know.

The life of the believer is a life redeemed from darkness, walking in a new life in Christ’s light.

Won’t you bow the knee to this Redeemer today?

From darkness to light, He will bring you, and so much more, into a new life in Christ.
