Nothing Can Separate Us From God’s Love-

Apr 18, 2024 | God's Love

31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all —
how will he not also, with him, graciously give us all things?
33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?
It is God who justifies.
34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one.
Christ Jesus who died — more than that, who was raised to life —
is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
36 As it is written:
“For your sake, we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither the present nor the future,
nor any powers,
39 neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God
that is in Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 8:31-39

I was going to write out only Romans 8:37… “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors

through him who loved us.”

However, reading Romans 8:31-39 was of intrinsic value and I couldn’t narrow it down to just the one verse.

This is such a rich portion of scripture to treasure.

As Christians, we believe God is for us.

We try our best to follow His ways, and when we fail or sin, we repent.

Along with repentance, we desire to change and face the fact that we need to change.

We don’t live in denial about our sin.

God is for us. If you don’t believe that, think again. He gave up His own son for us to die for our sin.

If that’s not love, if that’s not being for us, show me what is?

We aren’t worthy, but Christ is, and He makes us worthy through His sacrificial love and forgiveness.

We need to get that concept, really grasp it, understand it, and know we are worthy through Christ.

We are not worth a thing through our own merit, but by His merit.

I believe it is an insult to Christ if we go around thinking we are unworthy beggars.

He has taken our beggar status, and He is for us! He loves us enough to die for us.

Someone who is justified by Jesus Christ is not condemned and should not condemn themselves.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from Christ’s love. Not hardship, not persecution, trouble, or famine, death, life, present, or future, or any powers, angels or demons, NOTHING. Neither height nor depth nor ANYTHING else in all creation will be able to separate us from the Love of God, that is …

in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now that is a love worth holding onto and a love that makes us hold on through everything.

Jesus is faithful. Jesus is for us believers. He loves us. He died for us. We are a new creation in Christ. The old has gone, the new has come.

Nothing can separate us from that love.

Not one thing.

None.

Zilch.

Wishing you a day of basking in Christ’s love, dear reader.

P.S. If you don’t know His love won’t you invite Him in to be captain of your life?
His love (capital H) is a love worth finding.
In Christ’s love,
Liz.
