Patients and Sunshine

Sep 15, 2023 | Encouragement

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the

Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the

land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting

for the autumn and spring rains.

James 5:7

Yesterday I had surgery to have my knee scoped for removal of bone fragments the size of a marble. As well, the Arthroscopic surgery scoped my knee for arthritis as well.

So today I am up early and kind of sore.

The episode that injured my knee happened 3 months ago in St. Lucia. We had 169 steps to and fro from our room to the Sea. No way where we going to take a Shuttle/taxi.

I recall feeling nauseous and like fainting at the time I twisted my knee. It forced me to rest for at least 20 minutes, head down.

Anyway, laser therapy helped ease the pain over the summer months. The worst for it was lifting grandchildren. I did it anyway. The best for exercise was biking. Good motion for the knee.

So after a long three months I had it repaired yesterday. The Doctor thinks I’m tough, but that is a facade. He sent me home with a referral to a physiotherapist but no prescription for Pain meds. I thought, “great” this will be a breezy, easy recovery.

Suddenly, the numbing meds wore off and OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

So that is why I picked a Bible Verse about patience today.

The sunflower photo represents harvest, but I meant it to brighten your day. And mine.

Prayers appreciated for yours truly.

Wishing you a blessed and bright, beautiful day!
And weekend!
