11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands,
and ten thousand times ten thousand.
They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.
12 In a loud voice, they were saying:
“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”
13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth
and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”
14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,”
and the elders fell down and worshiped
Revelations 5:11-14
Revelations chapter five is such a beautiful passage in the Bible. If you have lost a loved one, dear to you, it will mean even more.
To think that one day we will sing praises with ten thousand upon ten thousands of angels, and our voices blending in unison with our loved ones already in heaven, to the Lamb upon the throne who came to take away the sin of the world, well that is nothing short of breathtakingly remarkable!
Together, let us visualize what this would be like… from our own homes we can read out loud the part that makes us stand in awe: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” In a loud voice let us read it again and again and again.
I can’t wait for the day. What about you?
But wait we must, and aim to be patient too, but someday soon we’ll be rejoicing with those legions of angels in the presence of the Lamb of God, our LORD of LORDS and King of Kings!
We can grasp a glimpse of this when we sing the beautiful hymn, all verses, of “By the Sea of Crystal.” If you don’t know it, why not google the words, or look it up on You-Tube. A classic.
The ending reiterates what we heard before. Every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, is saying:
“To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!” I will add with enthusiasm
and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever. AMEN.
What more could a soul desire than to experience “this!” You know the latest slogan is to say “this.” Well, visualize … “this” with me this Friday morning, won’t you?
I thought to close with this Scripture for the month of October. How fitting when speaking of praising our God!
We have covered a lot of ground in finding Bible Verses that sing praises to our God during October.
What a joy it has been to write praise blogs in gratitude to our God, our LORD, our Redeemer Jesus Christ!
It might be hard to come down from the cloud it has put me on.
I’m a dreamer, but of the things of God. And if you are reading along, I believe you are too.
Stay tuned. I promise to praise our God often here. Eventually forever and ever and ever, along with the multitudes in that great place, our bodies and souls will finally find our true home.
Let’s sing in the meantime, right where we are.
Amen and amen.
All glory to God, He is worthy of blessing and honor and praise forever and always.
