Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
John 8:32
The Bible encourages believers to rely on the teachings, promises, and instructions of God.
As a disciple or follower of God, and through the Word and Spirit, the believer knows where to put their hope and trust.
Jesus offers freedom in the gospel, and through His power and Words people who believe are truly free.
His Words offer life and hope and power.
His Words are life to those who will believe.
Within the pages of the Gospel of John, or the Psalms, or any of the 66 books, lie the gospel account of life and hope and spiritual freedom.
In John 8:31, Jesus says, “If you abide in My word, you will be my disciples indeed.”
To abide in God’s Word means to be immerse ourselves in, live in, and make it our chief delight.
Once we abide in the Word of God, we learn truth; we know truth; we cling to truth, and in that, God truly sets us free.
Set free to live right by the power of God.
Set free to serve God and not self.
Set free to obey God and not follow the sinful dictates of our own hearts.
Set free by the blood of Jesus, who died on the cross to for our sin.
Set free to live by the power of the Holy Spirit that helps us live right.
Set free to abide in God’s Word day in and day out.
Set free to eternal life when this life ends.
Set free by the gift of grace given in Jesus Christ.
Set free by faith in Jesus Christ alone, no strings attached, the gift of grace.
Set free by being “justified” by Jesus Christ, meaning it is “just as if I never sinned” when you believe Jesus died for you.
Set free to be grateful for the gift of grace and serving others not for what I owe, but with a grateful heart.
Set free to have a life worthy of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, putting off sin, and putting on the glorious characteristics of our LORD.
Set free to glorify God in all we do, desiring to grow and grow and never stop growing for His glory.
Set free to be content in whatever situation God places you in.
Set free to love God. Set free to live life for God, to cherish God, and to make God our delight and joy.
Set free from a messed up life to a life with purpose and a plan.
Set free to know that God has a purpose and a plan for you that is more beautiful and creative than you could ever have hoped for.
Set free to be free, free to soar, free to fly, free to live, free to love, free to dream, free to hope, free to love, free to live with a passion to do right.
Set free to live, to love, and to laugh.
And in the end, free to fly into the arms of Jesus as we take our last breath on this earth,to live with Him forever.
When the son of God sets you free, you will be free indeed.
