They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them,
but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt.
But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love,
and did not forsake them.
Nehemiah 9:17
My husband and I have been back from our trip to St. Lucia for three days now.
In the meantime, I had my injured knee X-rayed and CT Scanned back here in Canada.
On Saturday I went to the local Hospital for tests.
They referred me to a Bone Fracture Specialist in Niagara Falls Ontario.
It appears the bone is not fractured or broken at this time.
Instead some arthritis dislodged and is scraping my two knee bones.
For a week to a week and a half I will have to see if it settles down.
If the pain and inflamation does not go away I will have to have the knee scoped arthroscopically.
So coming home has been like coming off cloud nine and facing this little trial.
I am trusting God for a full recovery without surgery (D.V.).
When I was at my local Hospital on Saturday they demanded I wear a mask even though masks are no longer required by our Government.
In the flowerbed at the same Hospital, I also noticed a “pride month” flag.
Last year I had complained about these “little flags” being pushed in everyones face.
It appears my complaint made no difference.
The next day was Sunday and off to Niagara Falls Hospital we went.
I was a wee bit down and needed some help getting dressed so prayed, “Lord what do I wear today?”
Low and behold the first shirt I put my hand upon in my closet was the T-Shirt I purchased last year which I had totally forgotten about.
On the T-Shirt are the words… “God made the rainbow and it still belongs to Him.” Genesis 9:13
So I wore that T-Shirt to the Appointment.
I got many looks I must admit, and I did not fear because I know God wanted me to honour Him in this small thing.
We learned that Canada built the airport in St. Lucia as a gift to them. That was a long time ago. I doubt it if our present Government would think of the needs of these people.
That is just my truthful oponion.
So now you know where I stand on the issues of this present age.
Yet as God’s Word teaches in Nehemiah 9:17, God is ready to forgive those who repent of sin.
We all need to repent of our sin, but we must not continue in it.
God wants us to obey His Word and not be a stiff-necked people.
What about you?
Are you facing the truth of your sin before the face of God?
Am I?
Do we stand up for what is right according to the Word of God?
God’s Word never changes though people desire to twist it and turn it to their benefit.
God sees it all.
It saddens me to see a “rainbow flag” in a flowerbed, at the local hospital.
God made the rainbow, and it still belongs to Him.
He will not stand forever in mercy but will bring justice to those who refuse to repent.
May this blog serve as a reminder to all of us to repent and turn to God in obedience.
His love and mercies are new everyday to those who turn to Him in repentance and faith.
May this reminder help us all and encourage us to repent.
