Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever.

Today is Monday June 19, 2023.
I find it easy to give thanks to God today and most every day.
Our youngest son has his birthday today.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
This same son was born on Father’s Day.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
Yesterday was Father’s Day.
Give thanks to the God of heaven, for our Dads, for our husbands who are the Dads of our children, for our sons who are dads.
It is a beautiful time of year, and I woke to the sounds of birds singing happily.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
We will have coffee on the front porch again this morning.
Give thanks to the God of heaven.
Perhaps some of those things you can’t be thankful for because they are not part of your life.
But one thing, as Christians, we can all unite in gratitude and thanks to the God of heaven is for God’s steadfast (steady) love that lasts forever.
If you can focus on His love for you, all else that is missing will not crush you.
God’s love is enough to keep us going through dark nights and long, hard days.
God’s love is steady, and it never fails.
God will not leave you or forsake you either.
He is with you; He is with you. God’s love is with you, dear reader, as you turn to Him and believe in Him.
This is a good focus on a Monday morning in June.
God’s love is a good focus and day of the week, and any month of the year.
As you read the entire Psalm 136, you will find the phrase “For His steadfast love endures forever” repeated twenty-six times.
I have listed it above only a few times to get the point across.
We need to hold on to and focus on God’s great love and kindness, mercy, compassion, and grace to us.
His gift of sending Jesus Christ as the Redeemer of our souls is the most significant demonstration of His love.
Today, as we begin this new day and new week, let us think for a while about the “steadfast love that endures forever.”
And let us give thanks with grateful hearts for it.
