Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalm 23 Verse 6 NIV
I don’t know where the month of June went, it just flew by!
One thing is certain, however, God’s goodness and love have followed me.
What about you?
Are there things you are grateful for?
Can you make a list and praise God for items you are thankful for?
I searched for the perfect Bible Verse to make a lasting impact on June 30, 2023.
I hope this one stays with you … “all the days of your life.”
Do you notice how positive David is when he writes, “surely” your goodness and love “will” follow me… all the days of my life.
David had faith in God and His goodness and love towards him. He didn’t wish for God’s love; He didn’t hope for God’s love, no he was confident of God’s love and he KNEW God’s goodness would follow Him.
That kind of faith helped David pick up the slingshot and put an end to the ranting of the enemy Philistine giant, Goliath.
David didn’t hope God would help him, he didn’t wish God would help him. He KNEW God would help him and He trusted God would help him!
David had full confidence in God to come through for him!
That is the difference between a faith filled believer and a wishful believer.
We have to believe deep down that God will indeed come through for us. That is God-confidence, not self confidence.
There are tests along life’s journey, many of them.
We can trust God in the middle of those tests, or we can wilt under them.
Which will it be, dear one?
Each day of this month, I have written about God’s love. It came naturally to me. It was easy to write about.
Now as the month closes with a bang (yes, fireworks tomorrow), I pray this Bible Verse will make an enormous impact on you.
Remember, in those moments you are alone, hurting, the goodness and love of God WILL follow you all the days of your life.
On earth we have the privilege to dwell in God’s house with freedom.
One day we will join the saints in glory and bask in God’s goodness, mercy and love all the days of our eternal life.
For now, in the here and now.
Then in His presence forevermore.
Let us thank Him together for His goodness and His love towards us.
And let us dwell in God’s love forevermore.
