Today I thought I would try something different for a change.
I am going to share some Scriptures about gratitude with you.
If you are like me, it is beneficial to read them over and remind ourselves to be truly grateful and express our gratitude to God.
I would like to invite you to read these Bible Verses out loud a few times today., you will renew your mind as I will as well.
“I will extol the LORD at all times; His praise shall be always on my lips.” Psalm 34:1.
“O LORD our LORD, how majestic is your name is all the earth!” Psalm 8:1a
“Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3.
“Praise the LORD, Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised!” Psalm 113:1-3.
“Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name! For the LORD is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:1-5.
“You are my God, and I will give you thanks; you are my God, and I will exalt you.” Psalm 118:28.
“It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night.” Psalm 92:1-2.
“I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name forever and ever. Every day, I will praise you and extol your name forever and ever. Great is the name of the LORD and most worthy of praise. His greatness no one can fathom.” Psalm 145:1-3.
“Let them give thanks to the LORD, for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men.” Psalm 107:31
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him, who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9.
Now to share a personal favourite (as always…) from the New International Version of the Bible.
1 Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you, our vows will be fulfilled.
2 You who answer prayer, to you all people will come.
3 When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions.
4 Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.
5 You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, 6 who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,
7 who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
8 The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.
9 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.
10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.
12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.
13 The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.
If we only remember daily the importance of thanking God for His grace and love for us, instead of thinking of the things that are wrong in our lives.
Won’t you join me in thanking God today?
With gratitude to our gracious and great God.
