Unfailing Love Wonderful Deeds

“Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men.”
Psalm 107:21

The words, “Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men,” we see woven into Psalm 107 at least five times.

Along with this we see the following words repeated throughout Psalm 107: Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. Those words we read repeated four times.

As God’s people we face trials and difficult circumstances, some given to us by God, others we create ourselves in our own stubborn rebellion. Regardless, God is comes to our rescue as we cry out to Him in prayer.

Perhaps we are weary and alone. Maybe a prisoner in bondage to alcohol, or sexual sin. Maybe we are facing health issues or even death. Life may seem like a storm-tossed sea when we are overwhelmed and weary. These hardships may or may not lead us to cry out desperately in prayer for God to rescue us from our trial or sins.

Our hardships bring us closer to God if we allow it. He will rescue us as we call to Him for deliverance. And let the redeemed of the LORD say this- God is good and His love endures forever!

God is faithful as we cry out to Him in our distresses.

This causes our hearts to overflow in gratitude to God for His unfailing love and his wonderful deeds to us.

We are all prisoners, captives, and in bondage to Satan, except for the grace of God that rescues us in our distress.

And as a believer, Jesus has set you free from a life of being in bondage to sin. Christ died to set us free. We are only captives to sin as we allow ourselves to be swept away by our own fleshly, sinful, stubborn desires. Oh, it may take crying out in your distress, but God hears our prayers for rescue and delivers us from the evil one as we humble ourselves and admit our need for His help.

We may need to involve other people in our circumstances that overwhelm us. But what is the shame in that? We all have problems and some of us simply need extra support and help amid those trying times. The harder thing is to ignore the problems we have and never get help. One thing is sure, God will rescue us as we cry out for deliverance and sincerely want that deliverance!

As we experience God’s nearness in our times of trouble, and we appreciate His coming to our rescue, our hearts will cry out along with all of God’s people, even of old, “GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”

Won’t you join me in thanking the LORD for His goodness in our lives?

Say along with me…

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER.”
